Important: Bob and Brad publishes stall force (the pressure at which the motor stops). Therabody publishes how much force you can apply. The two numbers are measured differently, so don't read 85 vs 35 as "more than twice as strong". Both list the same 16 mm stroke depth.
Where the D6 Pro wins
- More published power. 85 lbs stall force is one of the highest figures you'll see on a consumer massage gun.
- Longer battery. Up to 180 minutes vs 120 minutes.
- More heads and settings. 7 heads, 6 speeds and 4 preset modes, shown on an OLED screen with a force meter.
- Designed by physical therapists Bob and Brad.
- Better value in our scoring: 9.2 for value vs 8.8 for the Theragun.
Downside: it's a full-size gun and heavier than minis.
Where the Theragun Prime wins
- Triangle grip. Therabody's patented handle makes it easier to reach your own back and shoulders.
- App and guided routines. Bluetooth connects to the Therabody app for extra speed levels, pressure tracking and step-by-step routines, plus personalised plans with Coach by Therabody.
- Rugged build. Impact-resistant rubber exterior and reinforced corners, rated for drops up to 10 feet.
- Simple to use. One button and LED lights that show how hard you're pressing.
- Highest overall score in our ranking: 9.6, with 9.0 for noise vs 8.6 for the D6 Pro.
Downside: it costs more than mid-range guns and comes with only 2 attachments.
